Admissions Information

Graduate Admission to the College of Engineering

Applicants who meet both a minimum grade average of 3.0 for all upper-division undergraduate work and acceptable scores on the verbal, quantitative, and analytical sections on the GRE general test (minimum 1,000 Total Verbal/Quantitative) are referred to the graduate selection committee of the department for approval or disapproval. The prospective student must satisfy the requirements of the department as well as those of the graduate school.

Graduate Admission to an Engineering Department

Graduate selection committees in the departments approve or disapprove applicants. Some departments may have higher requirements.

Entrance Requirements for Foreign Students

Same as "College Admissions" above plus TOEFL requirement.

Entrance Requirements for Non-Resident Students

Same as "College Admissions" above.

Residency Requirements

To be classified as a resident for tuition purposes, a student shall have established legal residency in Florida and shall have maintained legal residence in Florida for at least twelve months immediately prior to his or her qualification.

Admissions Requirements for Transfer Students

Admissions requirements are the same as non-transfer or regular admissions.
