The Engineering Fundmentals Division (EFD) is designed to provide support to those new, incoming freshman and transfer students; who are transitioning into the Frank Batten College of Engineering and Technology. All students are admitted to this division until they are prepared to successfully take courses in their respective majors. The EFD is a resource to foster and stimulate freshmen in their academic growth. It provides numerous support systems that the student may find useful in their adjustment to college life. In particular, there are student seminars to provide information on study skills, test taking stratgies, time management, interpersonal and communication skills. EFD helps integrate those freshmen and transfer students with student-social and student-professional organizations that provide tutoring and mentoring services.
