Engineering College Description and Special Characteristics

Kansas State University offers the largest college of engineering in the Kansas. It offers degrees, options, and areas of specialization in virtually every major or related field of engineering including aerospace, agricultural, architectural, biological, biomedical, chemical, civil, computer, computer science, construction science, electrical, environmental, industrial, manufacturing systems, mechanical and nuclear. All of our engineering degree programs are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. Construction science and management is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education. The computer science degree is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET. The mission of the Kansas State University College of Engineering is to provide an educational environment where students can reach their full potential in their chosen discipline and as persons, a world-class research and scholarly environment where the talents of faculty members and students are developed and used to generate new knowledge and technology for the benefit of society, and an effective outreach program that accelerates the adoption of technology and extends educational opportunities for practicing professionals in Kansas, the nation, and the world
