Undergraduate Admission to the College of Engineering

After admission to K-State, applicants will be evaluated for admission by the College of Engineering based on cumulative high school grade point average and composite ACT or SAT scores.

Minimum academic standards to be considered for admission to the College of Engineering:

• 3.0 high school GPA
• Cumulative ACT score of 21 or cumulative SAT score of 1060

Undergraduate Admission to an Engineering Department

After admission to the College of Engineering, students with a 24 and higher composite ACT score or SAT composite score of 1160 or higher will be admitted to their desired department. Students with a 21-23 composite ACT score or composite SAT score of 1060-1150 will be placed into a general engineering program. Students in the general engineering program can transfer to their desired program once they have completed MATH 220 (Calculus 1 or equivalent) with a grade of “C” or better and have a 2.5 KSU cumulative GPA.

Minimum academic standards to be considered for admission to the College of Engineering:

• 2.75 GPA on all transfer coursework
• Completed MATH 220 (Calculus I or equivalent) with a "C" or better
