Entrance Requirements and Recommendations

Requirements

Undergraduate Programs: ACT, High School courses- Mathematics (4 years), English (4 years), Physical or Life Sciences (3 years). GPA required: 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (B, average).

Master Programs: GPA 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale in BS program of related fields (GPA 2.7-3.0 and GRE with 70 percentile or higher in Quantitative Reasoning, admission with limited standing). Two recommendation letters.

Ph.D. Programs: GPA 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale in MS program of related fields (GPA 3.0-3.5 and GRE with 70 percentile or higher in Quantitative Reasoning, admission with limited standing). Personal statement and three recommendation letters. Students with outstanding undergraduate records may apply directly for admission to the doctoral program.

Requirements for foreign students: prove of English proficiency; financial statement

Recommendations

Undergraduates: SAT; course work in chemistry and physics; exposure to computer aided design (CAD), machine shop tooling, computer programming and electronics shop devices.

Graduates: GRE
