Degree Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Requirements

BS degree programs in engineering require 120-128 semester credits, depending upon major selected. Student's overall GPA must be at least 2.0; the GPA for all major courses must be at least 2.0, or students must earn a grade of "C" or better in all required major courses.

Master's Degree Requirements

Master's with Thesis - GPA requirements: at least a 3.00 on a 4.00 scale. Credit hours required for degree: 30. Thesis may be completed in absentia. Oral examination. Master's with Courses only -- GPA requirement: at least a 3.00 on a 4.00 scale. Credit hours required for degree: 30. May have an independent study or project course.

Doctoral Degree Requirements

GPA requirement: 3.00 on a 4.00 scale. Credit hours required for degree: At least 72 but varies by department. Dissertation may be completed in absentia. Master's degree in engineering not required. Residency requirement: At least one year in residence. Students expected to be registered for at least six semesters.
