Undergraduate Admission to the College of Engineering

Applications are processed on the rolling basis, there is no deadline. Applicants for freshman admission are rquired to submit an application along with SAT or ACT scores, a high school transcript, and two letters of recommendation. Transfer applicants are required to submit an official transcript from all universities attended, along with the application and letters of recommendation. Transfer students with less than 60 credits are required to submit their high school transcripts along with SAT/ACT scores as well.

Undergraduate Admission to an Engineering Department

Admissions decisions are not departmentalized.

Entrance Requirements for Foreign Students

The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required of all students whose native language is not English.

Residency Requirements

The minimum residence requirement for transfer students who wish to qualify for a Polytechnic bachelor's degree is 34 semester hours in approved upper division subjects taken at Polytechnic.

Admissions Requirements for Transfer Students

Tandon welcomes transfer students from accredited colleges and universities, provided they have maintained a strong academic record. Students who have not completed two years of college work should submit official transcripts of previous college and high school grades, and SAT1 or ACT scores. Students who have completed two or more years of college transcripts. Transfer credit is awarded on the basis of current standards and curriculum. Transfer credit will not be considered for any course less than a "C" grade. The grades for transfer courses are not included in the computation of the Polytechnic GPA. New transfer students may be admitted on a part-time or full-time basis and may be required to take placement examinations in writing and/or math.
