Admissions Information

Graduate Admission to the College of Engineering

Submit completed application along with nonrefundable application fee of $50 for non-residents who are first time applicants. Application deadline is April 1.

Graduate Admission to an Engineering Department

Minimum GPA is 3.0 out of 4.0. Undergraduate Engineering, Physical Science, or Mathematics degree required. Official transcripts from all colleges and universities are required. An official score from the GRE (subject test, verbal, and quantitative) is required. The sum of the scores on the verbal and quantitative sections of the GRE must be 1000 or better. The departments require a resume, statement of purpose and three (3) letters of recommendation.

Entrance Requirements for Foreign Students

In addition to the preceding regular admission requirements,foreign students must make a score of 550 or above on the TOEFL. Also, a financial statement is required.

Entrance Requirements for Non-Resident Students

Same as for resident students except a non-refundable fee of $50 is required for applicants who have not previously attended The University of Mississippi.

Residency Requirements

Same as for non-transfer students.

Same as for non-transfer students.
