Degree Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Requirements

:::::::::::: General University of California Requirements: Entry Level Writing and American History and Institutions. :::::::::::::UC Berkeley Requirement: American Cultures

:::::::::::: College of Engineering Requirements: 1) Reading and Composition (R&C) - 2 R&C courses; 2) Humanities and Social Sciences - At least 6 courses that satisfy the College of Engineering's Humanities and Social Sciences (H/SS) breadth requirement (Foreign language courses are among those that satisfy the H/SS requirement)
3) Maintain a minimum overall grade-point average of 2.00 (C Average) and a minimum grade-point average of 2.00 in upper-division technical coursework
4) The final 30 units, comprising two consecutive semesters toward the B.S., must be completed in residence 5) All technical courses (math, science, and engineering), required of the major or not, must be taken for a letter grade, unless they are only offered pass/no pass.
