Entrance Requirements and Recommendations

Requirements

1. New freshman are likely to be admitted if they rank in the top 50% of their graduating class (a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or greater will only be used if your high school does not rank); OR receive a composite ACT score of 22 or greater (or SAT equivalent).

Manufacturing Engineering applicants must meet a higher entrance requirement. Please refer to the program website at http://www.uwstout.edu/programs/bsmfe/

2. Meet the high school unit requirements which include:
� four English credits - emphasizing literature, composition and language. May include speech.
� three math credits (Algebra I and higher)
� three social science credits
� three natural science credits (need not be lab science) and
� four elective credits (may be from the areas above or foreign language, business, family/consumer education, art and design, and computer application/programming).

Recommendations

Apply as early as possible for fall admission.
