Degree Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Requirements

A cumulative grade point average of at least 2.00 (on a scale of 4 grade points per credit hour for an A) is required for graduation. The cumulative GPA is calculated using all courses taken for college credit for which a letter grade is given, except in the case of repeated courses. When a grade of "D" or "F" is received in a Missouri S&T course, the grade may be replaced in the calculation of the GPA if the course is repeated at Missouri S&T. No more than 15 semester hours will be dropped from the calculation of the student's GPA and a repeated course may only be used to replace one previous grade in that same course in the GPA calculation. In addition, the GPA must be at least 2.00 in all courses taken at Missouri S&T and GPA must be at least 2.00 in all courses taken in the major discipline. Credit hours required are 128.
