Admissions/Transfers

Admission to Engineering Technology College

A minimum 2.5 gpa is required in the associates degree from a technical discipline. Students with a gpa of 2.0 to 2.5 may be admitted as Pre-ET students.

Entrance Requirements for Foreign Students

Besides a technical associates degree with a 2.5 gpa is required for regular admission to the BS degree.

To establish English proficiency, applicants are required to submit an official qualifying score meeting minimum Graduate School requirements: TOEFL 79 internet-based (IBTT) ror 550 paper-based (PBTT); MELAB ​85; or IELTS 6.5 (overall band).

Applicants who have received a bachelor’s degree or higher from an institution in one of the following countries are exempt from the TOEFL, MELAB or IELTS requirement:
Anguilla, Antigua, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Canada (except Quebec), Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Greenland, Guyana, Jamaica, Liberia, New Zealand, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, South Africa, Tobago, Trinidad, Turks and Caicos Islands, United Kingdom, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Entrance Requirements for Non-Resident Students

Same as resident students.

Residency Requirements

Minimum 30 credits from WSU, including 24 credits from Division of Engineering Technology courses.

Admissions Requirements for Transfer Students

2.5 gpa in an associates degree or 30 technical credits.

All students entering the BS program in ET are transfer students.
