Undergraduate Admission to the College of Engineering

Must meet all Admissions requirements to the University and is admitted to the University in good standing. Freshmen are admitted into the Newcomb-Tulane College. (Taken into consideration for admission are the high school counselor's recommendation and SAT or ACT scores).

Undergraduate Admission to an Engineering Department

Must be admitted to the School of Science and Engineering; admitted students may declare a major in an Engineering Department.

Entrance Requirements for Foreign Students

All foreign students must submit TOEFL scores in addition to the University undergraduate admission requirements.

Entrance Requirements for Non-Resident Students

Same as for resident students.

Residency Requirements

Minimum 60 credits from Tulane. All 400 level and higher courses at Tulane.

Admissions Requirements for Transfer Students

Tulane University recommends that transfer applicants carry a cumulative GPA of approximately 3.0 in all previous college coursework. Students also must meet the standards for admission required of freshmen. Application, transcripts from high school and each college attended, and a statement of good standing should be received by June 1.
