Graduate Admission to the College of Engineering

Graduate Admission to an Engineering Department

All engineering departments require a minimum 3.0 GPA and a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Some engineering departments require GRE scores.

Residency Requirements

Residency requirement equals at least two semesters at the University of Colorado Boulder with at least 5 hours of coursework at the 5000 level or above.

Admissions Requirements for Transfer Students

3.0 GPA with a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Up to 9 hours of graduate level coursework may be transferred from another school. Credit may not be transferred until the completion of 6 credits of graduate course work as a regular student at CU Boulder. The student must show promise of ability to pursue advanced study and research, as judged by the student's previous scholastic record. Must have had adequate preparation to enter graduate study in the chosen field. GRE required for international students. A TOEFL score of 100 is also required.
