Engineering College Description and Special Characteristics

The College of Engineering at the University of Arkansas offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in biological engineering, chemical engineering, civil engineering, computer science and computer engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering and mechanical engineering.

The college also offers graduate programs in biomedical engineering, environmental engineering, operations management, transportation engineering. In addition, graduate programs are offered in interdisciplinary areas of cell and molecular biology, microelectronics, nanoscience, nanotechnology, and space and planetary sciences.

The university is located in one of the fastest growing regions of the country, Northwest Arkansas, which is also home to the headquarters of Wal-Mart, Tyson Foods and J.B. Hunt.
