Admissions Information

Graduate Admission to the College of Engineering

Students apply for admission to a department in the School of Engineering by applying for admission to the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions, three letters of recommendations, a statement of interest, autobiographical sketch and GRE scores. (Can be submitted up to one year after being admitted). Application deadlines are April 1 - Fall semester, November 1- Spring semester and March 15 - for the Summer session.

Graduate Admission to an Engineering Department

Entrance requirements for each department normally require the prospective applicant to hold an undergraduate degree in the department's discipline, with preferences given to students with a 3.0 out of 4.0 undergraduate cumulative average (B) for Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Computer Science, and 2.75 out of 4.0 in all undergraduate Chemical engineering courses for Chemical Engineering.

Entrance Requirements for Foreign Students

International students whose native language is not English must report scores from the TOEFL. Additionally, International students appying for admission into the Master of Computer Science program must take the mathmatics or engineering GRE Subject Test.

Entrance Requirements for Non-Resident Students

All students seeking admission into the Graduate School must take the GRE subject test.

Admissions Requirements for Transfer Students

A general admissions application, a $75.00 application fee and two official transcripts from each college level institution attended must be sent to the Office of Admissions.
