Other Student Support Programs

The purposes and objectives of the Vanderbilt University School of Engineering Council (aka Vanderbilt Engineering Council) shall be:
* Serving as advocates of the VUSE and voicing the concerns of students to administrators, faculty, and staff;
* Serving as intermediaries between students and faculty/administrators, promoting effective communication throughout the VUSE organization;
* Planning and promoting events for the VUSE, encouraging student involvement in activities of the School of Engineering, Engineering Council, and other related organizations; and
* Encouraging effective student organizations including professional societies and coordinating their activities with those of the Engineering Council for the benefit of the VUSE community.

Membership is determined by popular election of five members by the Vanderbilt School of Engineering undergraduate student body and by appointment conducted by elected members, for a total of at least seven members.
