Other Student Support Programs

The following student support programs are offered:
WPI's new student orientation is offered during the four-day August arrival period. The Student Development and Counseling Center provides a wide range of services. The Career Development Center assists students with major selection and career exploration.
The M*A*S*H (Math and Science Help) Program is an academic support program for first year students in mathematics and science courses.
WPI's Center for Communication Across the Curriculum offers all WPI students tutorial assistance with written, visual, and oral presentations.

WPI's Office of Diversity Programs provides a support program for students of color.

The Academic Resources Center provides individual and group sessions on academic skill development, academic loads and tutors, as needed.

The Insight Program is designed for the first two terms. All first year students are assigned to one of 37 orientation and advising groups. The students are grouped by their housing assignments or as commuters and transfers. Each group has a faculty advisor, a peer advisor, and a resident advisor assigned to work with the new students to assist the students develop strong academic and social connections within the campus community.

The Student Disability Services Director obtains and files disability-related documents, certifies eligibility for disability services, and develops and coordinates plans for provision of accommodations, such as extended time for exams, assistive computer technology, and note takers.

The Collaborative for Entrepreneurship & Innovation (CEI) www.wpi.edu/+CEI is a university-wide center serving those interested in technology entrepreneurship and innovation. Our services and programs are provided to students, faculty members and alumni as well as regional technology entrepreneurs, professional service providers, and investors.

Our main goals are facilitating the creation of sustainable new technological ventures, nurturing the entrepreneurial and innovative mindset, and providing resources that help aspiring technology entrepreneurs to build new products, businesses, and organizations.
