Undergraduate Admission to the College of Engineering

The Herff College of Engineering does not have any additional admission criteria beyond those of the University.

Undergraduate Admission to an Engineering Department

Departments require incoming freshmen to be in pre-engineering majors until the students have completed certain courses with a minimum GPA. See the undergraduate catalog at www.memphis.edu for each departmental listing of requirements.

Entrance Requirements for Foreign Students

Entrance Requirements for Non-Resident Students

The university has no special entrance requirements for out-of-state students unless they are also international students.

Residency Requirements

Transfer students must complete 31 of the hours required by the University for residency as upper division hours in courses in the Herff College of Engineering.

Admissions Requirements for Transfer Students

Entrance requirements are the same as those of the university.
