Student Design Projects Description

Clarkson University's SPEED (Student Projects for Engineering Experience and Design) program promotes multidisciplinary project-based learning opportunities for more than 350 undergraduates annually. SPEED projects involve engineering design and analysis, fabrication, and the enhancement of professional competencies such as budget management, effective teamwork, and communication skills. The SPEED program offers 12 engineering design project opportunities for undergraduates. These include:

� Clean Snowmobile Challenge
� Concrete Canoe
� Construction Management (heavy highway and building construction)
� Design, Build, and Fly
� Environmental Design
� FIRST Robotics
� Formula SAE
� Human Powered Vehicle Challenge
� Steel Bridge
� Timber Bridge
� Zero Emission Snowmobile
� PCI Big Beam

In addition to the competition-based projects, SPEED administers the Engineers Without Borders programs.
