Founded in 1955, the College of Engineering and Computer Science at California State University, Sacramento is recognized as a leader in the state and nation for its excellent programs and facilities. The College emphasizes quality instruction in all of its programs. Its 55 full-time faculty members earned their degrees at some of the nation's best universities. They are dedicated to personally educating and training young people, and share a practical, design-oriented philosophy which encourages independent thinking and problem solving. The academic programs prepare the College's 4,200 students for both professional practice and advanced study in their chosen disciplines.
