Other Student Support Programs

A summer orientation program for new students, including advising and course registration, occurs in June, July, and August. Tutoring is available for freshman and some sophomore courses. Faculty and upper-level students provide assistance in all classes. Math and English programs have assistance labs. Services for students with disabilities are available. The Office of Student Services is very supportive of student success. The Career Center assists students in identifying internship and career opportunities. The University Honors program provides specialized housing and programmatic support for Honors students. Students who are not directly admissible to the majors may participate in the School of Engineering Pre-Engineering Program for up to 2 semesters, are considered part of the School, and are advised by the Office of Student Services.
