Undergraduate Admission to the College of Engineering

Undergraduate Admission to an Engineering Department

Requirements: SAT, High School courses-English, mathematics through trigonometry (4 years), chemistry, physics, history (1 year) Recommendations: High School courses-computers (1 year)

Entrance Requirements for Foreign Students

TOEFL Score of 550 (213 computer-based, 80 internet-based); financial statement

Entrance Requirements for Non-Resident Students

Entrance requirements do not differ for non-resident students.

Residency Requirements

The work of the senior year (a minimum of 24 credits) must be completed while in residence at the Swanson School of Engineering, University of Pittsburgh.

Admissions Requirements for Transfer Students

Minimum 3.0 (varies depending on department) on a 4.0 scale at the institution previously attended.
