Degree Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Requirements

Bachelor of Science degrees in all engineering programs require between 128 and 136 semester credits. General education courses are selected to provide awareness of the world and breadth and depth in an area of interest. Students must complete a writing portfolio in addition to writing in the major courses. A Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science is also offered.

Master's Degree Requirements

Thesis and non-thesis programs must consist of not less than 30 hours of credit. Non-thesis programs must include a minimum of 26 hours of graded coursework and a minimum of 2 hours of Master's Special Problems. Thesis programs must include a minimum of 21 hours of graded coursework and a minimum of 4 hours of Master's Thesis Research.

Doctoral Degree Requirements

A core requirement of at least 34 semester hours of graded graduate coursework and a minimum of 20 hours of research credit. Total graded coursework and research credit must total at least 72 hours. Specific requirements vary by department.
