Undergraduate Admission to the College of Engineering

Undergraduate Admission to an Engineering Department

The average high school grades of entering Freshman are over 90 and Transfer GPA's are usually 3.0 and above.

Entrance Requirements for Foreign Students

Same as for all admissions, but special financial documentation needed for foreign students, plus a minimum of an 83 on the internet-based TOEFL. Transfers from foreign universities, with which the Watson School has a 2+2 agreement, should consult their program adviser for any special requirements.

Residency Requirements

Students must complete a minimum of 30 credits in Watson School courses to meet the Residency Requirements for graduation for engineering. Students must complete a minimum of 40 credits in Watson School courses to meet the Residency Requirement for graduation for Computer Science. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 plus a 2.0 in the major courses is required for graduation.

Admissions Requirements for Transfer Students

Transfer grade point averages are usually 3.0 and above. All applicants are evaluated on a course by course basis to determine their academic level.
