Additional Financial Aid Information

Montana State University awards millions of dollars in scholarships and waiver awards to new students who enter in the fall of each year. Criteria include academic record, financial need, group affiliation, or a combination of the three. In Fall 2004, MSU began awarding four-year renewable scholarships to incoming freshmen and transfer students based on their ACT and/or SAT test scores.

In 2011 the College of Engineering awarded approximately 355 scholarships amounting to $694,313 to continuing and incoming students currently enrolled in the college. The criteria are set by the donors who established the scholarship funds; there are scholarships available to students who have financial need as well as non-need based scholarships. The College has both endowed and non-endowed sources of scholarships. Our scholarship endowment is approximately 6.5 million dollars.

Financial Aid is available for students who qualify. Eligibility requirements can be found at http://www.montana.edu/wwwfa/.

Part-time student employment is available through individual departments or the work study program.
