Residency Requirements

The University has a two-year live-in requirement for first-year and second-year students, with the following exceptions: The student is married; the student is 21 years of age or older before the residence halls open for fall quarter; the student's permanent home address, as listed on the application for admission, is less than 45 miles from the University and the student plans to reside at this address with parent(s) or legal guardian(s); the student has completed two full years of attendance at the University of Denver or another accredited institution; the student is a sophomore who has pledged a recognized Greek house and elects to live in a University authorized chapter house for the duration of his/her second year.

Admissions Requirements for Transfer Students

Transfer students should complete the Application for Admission and submit transcripts of all study at previous institutions. Official transcripts should be sent directly to the Office of Admission. Transfer applicants must present a minimum grade point average of 2.0 to be considered for admission. Credit is transferred for equivalent course grades of "C" or higher. A student who has completed less than one year of college study (45 quarter hours or 30 semester hours) should also submit the secondary school record and SAT or ACT scores.
