Admission to an Engineering Technology Department

Students must be eligible to enroll in College Algebra and Composition I.

Entrance Requirements for Foreign Students

Academic records: originals or certified copies of the applicant's entire academic record in secondary school, college, or university must be forwarded to the Office of Admissions & Records with an English translation of these documents, and a TOEFL score of 525. Any high school or transfer student must have a C average or better to be considered for admission. Demonstrate English proficiency; Obtain a financial statement certifying that they are financially capable of pursuing an education in this country.

Entrance Requirements for Non-Resident Students

UALR students are governed by the University of Arkansas Board of Trustees' policy on student residency status. Those classified as nonresidents of Arkansas must pay a fee in addition to regular registration fees. Questions about residency status and requests for the written policy should be directed to the Office of Admissions and Records.

Residency Requirements

Transfer students must earn a minimum of 30 consecutive hours in residence, not including credit by examination.

Admissions Requirements for Transfer Students

Entrance requirements: Students who have attempted nine hours or less at another college or university must meet the admission requirements for entering freshmen. Transfer credit will be given only for grades of C or better earned in regionally accredited institutions.
