Entrance Requirements and Recommendations

Requirements

If graduate high school after January 1, 2016, need a cumulative high school GPA of 2.75 or above, OR ranked in the top 20 percent of their graduating class, OR an ACT composite score of 21 or above (SAT of 990* or above). High school coursework must include 4 units of English, 3 units of science beyond general science, 4 units of math (from Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, or advanced math), and 1 unit of foreign languages or fine arts. If graduate high school prior to January 1, 2016, need a cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.0 and ACT composite score of 20 OR high school GPA of 2.5 OR ACT composite score of 21. High school coursework must include 4 units of English, 3 units of science beyond general science, 3 units of math (from Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, or advanced math), and 1 unit of foreign languages or fine arts.

Admission to regular status in the College of Engineering requires satisfactory performance on a local math placement exam and an English ACT of at least 16.
