Student Projects

Student Design Projects Description

Throughout the curriculum, Olin students gradually build competency in solving open-ended problems. Projects are found in all four years of the curriculum, and project experiences gradually increase in scale, complexity, and realism as students develop their knowledge and skills. Olin's open-ended project emphasis culminates in an ambitious two-semester senior year capstone project that engages student teams in significant design problems with realistic constraints with an external partner.

Admissions Requirements for Transfer Students

Olin College has no formal transfer admission policy and students who wish to transfer to Olin follow the same process as students applying to college for the first time (including standardized testing scores and a strong background in calculus and physics). The faculty may review previous coursework to determine how much, if any, credit would be given. Transfer applicants in the past have generally not received credit due to the structure of our program.
