Student Projects

Student Design Projects Description

Beginning with their gateway Introduction to Engineering course, Engineering Physics and Biomedical Engineering students are guided through a carefully constructed sequence of engineering design projects. Each project is intended to promote and develop student learning, eventually culminating in a 2-course Senior Engineering Design capstone sequence. In the capstone course, each team of students works with a department faculty member to identify and select a design-related engineering problem. Representatives from area industries are often brought in as project advisors. Students apply the design process by developing projects from the proposal stage to the test, evaluation, and implementation stages.
