Entrance Requirements and Recommendations


Admission requirements: (1) Have achieved a composite ACT score of 21 or a minimum combined SAT-I of 980, or (2) Rank in the top one-third of high schools' graduating class, and (3) Have completed a pre-college curriculum prescribed by the Kansas Board of Regents with a minimum GPA of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale. Out of state residents must earn a 2.50 or higher GPA on a 4.00 scale.
Admission process: Students must submit a standard university application of admission with a nonrefundable application fee of $40, have an official high school transcript sent directly by the recording institution, and have ACT or SAT scores sent directly to the University.


Recommended high school courses: English - 4 years, mathematics (algebra, geometry & pre-calculus) - 4 years, physics - 1 year, and chemistry - 1 year. ACT or SAT is strongly recommended for placement purposes; in addition, advanced placement math & chemistry are highly recommended.
