Degree Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Requirements

To obtain a bachelor of science degree in an engineering program, students must have completed 128 credit hours in courses required for the curriculum, 3 semesters of co-op and must also have a grade point average of at least 2.0 overall (average of C), and at least 2.0 in the student's major.

Master's Degree Requirements

MASTER OF SCIENCE/MASTER OF ENGINEERING SCIENCE - A minimum of 30 semester hours of approved graduate work is required for the Master's degree. The student may elect to pursue a thesis or non-thesis degree. The non-thesis option may include a scholarly project of up to an extra 6 hours of credit. The thesis option requires 9 hours of thesis credits.

Doctoral Degree Requirements

A minimum of 90 semester hours of approved graduate work beyond a Bachelor's degree is required for the Doctor of Philosophy degree. Students must investigate an original research topic, prepare and successfully defend a dissertation which earns a minimum of 45 credits.
