BUCKEYE CURRENT ELECTRIC MOTORCYCLE TEAM
Buckeye Current is a student project team working out of the Center for Automotive Research (CAR) with the goal of designing and building an electric race bike. Buckeye current competes on a professional level in national and international events with the electric race bike that the team has built.

BUCKEYE HACKERS
Buckeye Hackers bring together Undergraduate and Graduate students to design, build, and demonstrate software to a live audience during the annual Hackathon. Buckeye Hackers welcome all skill levels to come learn new technologies and hackathons strategies while making friends with fellow tech geeks.

BUCKEYE SPACE LAUNCH INITIATIVE
The Buckeye Space Launch Initiative (OSSLI) is an interdisciplinary organization of 85+ ambitious students with a shared vision of student-led spaceflight. Our mission is to establish Ohio State as a leading university in rocketry through collaborative, student-driven research and participation in international competitions. Also, we have research teams studying a broad range of topics that include propulsion systems, avionics, aerodynamics, control systems, structures, and manufacturing techniques.

CHEMICAL ENGINEERING CAR TEAM
Team members design and build a chemically powered vehicle for competition. The car is designed to be adjustable to account for an unknown distance and cargo distance and cargo mass that is different for each competition. The main purpose of this project team is to develop its members to become better problem solvers by using real world applications.

CONCRETE CANOE TEAM
The Concrete Canoe team designs, constructs, and races a concrete canoe against other teams in the Ohio Valley Student Conference competition. They also compete in auxiliary competitions, such as the concrete baseball bat competition.

DESIGN/BUILD/FLY
Design/Build/Fly is a multidisciplinary student project team that competes annually in the International AIAA Design/Build/Fly competition sponsored by Cessna Aircraft Company and Raytheon Missile Systems. Engineering students come together to design and manufacture a small remote controlled aircraft and test within the span of 7.5 months.

ECOCAR 3
EcoCAR 3 is an Advanced Vehicle Technology Competition sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy and General Motors. EcoCAR 3 challenges 16 North American Universities to reengineer a Chevrolet Camaro over four years to reduce its environmental impact while retaining the high performance characteristics of the vehicle.

ELECTRONICS CLUB
The Electronics Club is an organization that is committed to fostering interest in the field of electronics. Students will be provided with hands-on opportunities where materials and instruction are provided.

ENGINEERS FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE
Engineers for Community Service is a multidisciplinary engineering organization committed to using engineering knowledge to serve the local and international community. ECOS offers interested members the chance to focus on leadership and career development.

ENGINEERS WITHOUT BORDERS
Engineers Without Borders (EWB) is an international organization that applies engineering solutions to aid in the development of underprivileged communities. EWB-OSU is the student led chapter located at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Our chapter was founded in the Spring of 2009 and has since grown to 129 active student members. We are currently in the assessment phase of our five-year commitment to the community of Njau in The Gambia, West Africa.

ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING DESIGN TEAM
Every year students from regional universities compete in creating a sustainable design to treat water. The students have to design, build and test a water treatment system that will meet required level of pollution removal, which is determined every year in the fall.

FIRST ROBOTICS TEAM
FIRST Robotics is a community outreach club, providing many central Ohio high school robotics teams with much needed mentorship. This student organization help FIRST robotics team in the Columbus region improve and embrace the ideals of FIRST. Our goal is to improve the FIRST community by reaching out to student organizations at Ohio State.

FORMULA BUCKEYES TEAM
The Formula Buckeyes is a group of students who design, build, test, develop, and race a formula style open wheel race car. The organization aims to further educate students by allowing them to apply their classroom knowledge in a real-world setting. The goal is to incorporate today's latest technology into creating an efficient Formula SAE race car, allowing the Formula Buckeye team to be a highly regarded competitor on the national and international level.

MEDICAL INNOVATION CLUB
The Medical Innovation Club (MIC) allow students of all disciplines to design and work on biomedical projects. Students will also have opportunities to work with industry professionals in order to gain real world experience while also applying the knowledge that they have learned in class.

MOD BIOMOLECULAR DESIGN TEAM
Students on this team participate in DNA nanotechnology based molecular design for an annual International Biomolecular Design Competition.

NASA MOON ROVER TEAM
The Rover Team designs and constructs an efficient and competitive rover vehicle, which abides by all of the NASA Human Exploration Rover Challenge rules and regulations, in order to compete in the international NASA racing competition. This organization allows members to utilize their engineering knowledge of design and gain experience in the hands-on production of that design in an engineering team environment.

THE OHIO STATE FLIGHT TEAM
The Ohio State Flight Team is a student competition team made up of some of the best collegiate aviators here at Ohio State. As a member of the flight team, students are able to sharpen their aviation skills and develop relationships with their peers and members of the aviation industry. The team competes in The National Intercollegiate Flying Association (NIFA), which hosts Regional and National Safety and Flight Evaluation Conferences (SAFECON).

PROFESSIONAL LAND SURVEYORS OF OHIO
PLSO is a professional organization for land surveyors in the state of Ohio. The OSU Student Chapter aims to connect students in the Civil, Environmental, and Geodetic Engineering Department's Surveying and Mapping minor with professional land surveyors and promote the profession of land surveying. The chapter participates in ASCE's annual competitions as the surveying team from Ohio State.

QUARTER SCALE TRACTOR STUDENT DESIGN TEAM
ASABE organized a National Student Design Competition based upon the concept of designing a 1/4 Scale Tractor. The design competition is arranged to be both educational and fun for the students. There will be four main judging categories: a Written Design Report, a Team Presentation, Individual Design Judging and a Performance Competition. The performance competition, the highlight of the event, is comprised of multi-stage tractor pull using a progressive sled. Through involvement in the competition, students will gain practical experience in the design of drivetrain systems, tractor performance, manufacturing processes, analysis of tractive forces, weight transfer and strength of materials.
