Entrance Requirements and Recommendations


Admission requirements: (1) Have achieved a composite ACT score of 21 or a minimum combined SAT-I of 1060, or (2) Rank in the top one-third of high schools' graduating class, and (3) Have completed a pre-college curriculum prescribed by the Kansas Board of Regents with a minimum GPA of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale. Out of state residents must earn a 2.50 or higher GPA on a 4.00 scale.
Admission process: Students must submit a standard university application of admission with a nonrefundable application fee of $40, have an official high school transcript and college transcript(s), if applicable, sent directly by the recording institution, and have ACT or SAT scores sent directly to the University.


Recommended high school courses: English - 4 years, mathematics (algebra, geometry & pre-calculus) - 4 years, physics - 1 year, and chemistry - 1 year. ACT or SAT is strongly recommended for placement purposes; in addition, advanced placement math & chemistry are highly recommended.
